Furlough Wednesdays for State Libraries
The Board of Education approved a plan to close all state libraries 15 days for fiscal year 2009 and another 15 days the the fiscal year 2010. All library furloughs will fall on a Wednesday.

The 2010 dates for which the libraries will be closed are as follows:

January 13, 27
February 3, 10
March 3, 10, 17
April 7, 14, 21
May 5, 19

  • Get a quick answer by calling Telephone Reference 1-800-390-3611
  • Use the online magazine index to look up magazine articles. Many articles can be read on the computer terminal or printed via the library terminal or home computer. Send an article, abstract, or citation from a computer search to your home email address.
  • Free access to the Internet. Customers with a valid library card can sign up for a 50-minute session per week to surf the Internet.
