Visit Our Changing Display Case
If you have a collection or items of interest that you would like to share with the patrons of the library, please contact Susan Dierker at 808-651-4045. We are looking for objects of interest, art or craft items that are not for sale but just to share & show! The cases are always locked. The display remains up for a month. Please consider sharing if you have items that would be enjoyed by our many library patrons.

Misc. Library News
Furlough Wednesdays for State Libraries: Good News!!!
Funds raised from the HSPLS “Keep Your Library Open” and the Friends of the Library of Hawaii’s, “Keep Your Door Open” campaigns have helped suspend furlough days until further notice.
Fine Policy Changes
Administrative rule changes were implemented on Aug. 5th to reflect that overdue fines for juveniles and adults will now be $.25 per item/per day. In addition, overdue fines for DVD and Video rentals have decreased from $1.00/day to $.25/day.
Increased Library Usage!
In July, 2010 compared to last year we had a 9% increase in registered borrowers. We have approximately 100 new borrowers a
month. |
